SUMMER CAMP/PRIVATE STUDY AWARDS

Let’s face it – paying for music lessons, summer camp, other activities and the transportation it takes to get all these places is expensive. In 2003 RMF recognized the sacrifices families make to provide a sound music experience for their children with the founding of its “need-sensitive” program, which offers opportunities for summer music camp, private music lessons and instrument upgrades.

RMF does not ask for a financial disclosure with applications. Instead, the student’s essay or teacher recommendation should include any financial hardships affecting the family. Past examples have included single parent families, multiple siblings, siblings in college or a recent job loss.

Basic Requirements
Certain scholarships may have additional requirements, please read the complete description

1. Students must submit completed application, no audition or fee is currently required
2. Students who have already received this scholarship are encouraged to re-apply
3. Students with financial need will be preferred over students with no apparent need
Teacher’s recommendations should mention any family financial need

4. Awards of as much as $500 each are made from each program.
The foundation will award the cost of the camp up to $500

5. Other opportunities for summer music camp funding are typically available through RMF.
