Requirements for All Applicants:
No audition or fee is required
Students must attend Berks County Schools and reside
in Berks County
Previous recipients are encouraged to reapply
Scholarship Committee will determine recipients based
upon written teacher recommendations. Students with
financial need will be preferred over students with no
apparent need
(teachers should mention family financial need in their
recommendations)
The foundation will make awards of up to $500
RMF requires a nominal financial commitment from the
family. A per lesson "co-pay" of $5.00 is now mandatory.
Payment should be arranged through the teacher.

MUSIC STUDY
Geoffrey S.H. Fuchs Memorial Music Study Program (NEW!)
Awards are available to students who attend Reading
School Districts schools and are in grades 9-12
The
scholarship Committee will award this scholarship based
upon noted financial need and music potential, as noted
by the instructor
Full
Circle Society Acoustic Music Study Program
One award for lessons is
given annually to students ages 10-25
Open to acoustic guitar, fiddle, mandolin and banjo
students who reside in Berks County and study with a
Berks County teacher
Scholarship Committee will
determine recipients based upon written teacher
recommendations
(students with noted financial need will be preferred)

L. Kline Family Mountain Folk Scholarship
At least one annual award
to acoustic guitar and banjo students of all ages
Student must reside or attend school in Berks, or study
with a Berks teacher
Recommendation letter
should address the applicants character, musicianship,
practice habits, reason for studying the instrument and
commitment to American Folk music
Beginner/Intermediate
students will be preferred
Jimbo Jam Memorial Fund
Awards are available to students who attend Reading
School District schools and are in grades 7-12
(preference given to grades 9-12)
Students are required to commit to at least 15 hours
of community service in the field of their choice for
consideration of the award

Multiple awards are given
annually to vocalists in grades 7-9
Non-Specific Student Program
Multiple awards are given
annually
Open to instrumentalists
and vocalists in grades 7-12
Kathleen & Karin Reinsel Early
Instrument Scholarship
Awards are available for
students of any age (not professional level)
Instruments include
recorder, harpsichord, harp, mandolin, and other early
instruments
Scheidt/Heslop Jazz Fund
One award is available
annually to instrumentalists or vocalists in grades K-12
Wyomissing Foundation Brass Program
Multiple awards are
available annually to brass students in grades 7-9
